YOUR HOST
Hi, I’m Leanne and I welcome you to Chesterfield, where my home is your home. You can engage with me as little or as much as you like. I give my guests as much space and privacy as possible, but I am available when needed.
My desire is to share my beautiful farm and home with you and to leave you with treasured memories. I look forward to meeting you soon.

ACCOMMODATION
PRIVATE ROOM
Wake to sweeping views from a very comfy, queen-sized bed in a spacious airconditioned private bedroom, complete with your own access to the outdoors via sliding doors. You will have full exclusive use of the main bathroom and toilet. Car accommodation is available in the nearby carport.
The fully equipped kitchen, living and dining areas, television, BBQ facilities are all shared spaces, however I do my best to provide you with as much privacy as possible. There is sufficient space in the fridge to accommodate any food you wish to bring with you.
The four-bedroom western red cedar home provides open plan living in the main part of the house, with cathedral ceilings and blue gum staircase to a loft, central air conditioning and a cozy warm fire for the chilly winter evenings. The home is complete with a bull-nose verandah where you can relax and drink in the breathtaking views with your favourite South Burnett wine. With all bedrooms situated in the separate wing of the house, privacy and peace for a good night’s sleep is ensured. Access to WI-FI is also included if you need to stay connected.

CAMPING
If camping is your preference, “Diva Duck Dam” camping area provides the opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, flora and fauna and spoil yourself with a relaxing stay and a chance to breathe and reconnect. This secluded camping spot is yours and yours only! It is perfect for bush walkers, bird watchers, photographers, star gazers (the Milky Way is magnificent from the dam), astronomers, artists, families, friends, couples or even individuals.
The designated camping area is near Diva Duck Dam, which is mostly grassed and level, with a little shade, depending on your preferred camping spot. An ideal location to sit and relax and watch the sun go down over the dam and be treated to a spectacular view of the Milky Way at night. Guests must be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and potable water and must take all waste with them on departure. As the saying goes… “take only photos, leave only footprints”.
Campers are welcome to use the fire pit provided (if weather conditions allow). Firewood can be purchased for a small additional fee. Two locally constructed timber picnic table crafted from my recycled cattle yard rails are also available for your use.
For everyone’s enjoyment and safety, pets must be on a leash at all times or restrained during your visit, being mindful “my boys” (cattle) are close by.

TESTIMONIALS
“What a magnificent place to rejuvenate. Thanks so much Leanne for sharing your piece of paradise with us; a beautiful house and gardens and stunning views and sunsets; not to mention the resident wildlife and lots of bird species. Wonderful to wake up to birds singing and not the sounds of city living. We look forward to returning soon.” Gail & Andy (Gympie)
“Thank you Leanne for sharing your beautiful property with us. We needed to relax and your home was perfect. We are doing family research and spent a day at Cherbourg for NAIDOC celebrations. At night we made ourselves at home by your toasty fire, a perfect spot to read and chat. Thanks for going the extra distance and discovering the wonders of ice lol. It’s all your little touches and your beautiful nature that made our stay so memorable.” Craig & Sally (Gold Coast)
Great atmosphere, fantastic accommodation, and good price! The location is peaceful and away from hassle and bustle life that we were looking for. Leanne welcomed us with a smile enthusiasm, and we chatted away. The accommodation itself was wonderful, a real homely feel without being restricted by a hotel. Gardens were great with a seat to take the views all in. There was BBQ and outdoor table on the verandah, and bring long your own food for dinner, or cook inside. Ian & Kim
